If used correctly, your LetMeGo user profile page can help you get more bookings. Taking the time to upload a friendly picture of yourself and your staff, as well as writing a good personal description can help guests feel confident that there is a real person who will help to ensure that their stay at your lodging will meet or exceed their expectations.
To update your profile visit your home page, then click on “My Profile”, and then click on the picture and “About Me” section.
Tips for Your Profile Picture
- Do use a picture that focuses on your face (instead of your full body). That way, people can see your face clearly in the thumbnail version of the picture, which is the one used in many areas of the site where travellers interact with lodging representatives.
- Do use a picture where you are smiling.
- Don’t use a yearbook-style picture. They are boooooooooring.
- Don’t use a logo. Travellers want to deal with people, not companies.
Tips for Your “About Me” Section:
- Tell travellers why you love what you do.
- Describe the responsibilities you have within your lodging.
- Mention your hobbies and passions as a way to connect with your guests.
- Use easy-to-understand English. LetMeGo is a global marketplace.
- Avoid using phrases that are too long (over 15 words). Shorter phrases are easier to read.
- Write this section in as many languages as possible. We will automatically translate it into any language you can’t provide.
- The first paragraph is key. Be sure you grab the reader immediately, to ensure travellers keep reading the whole thing.
Extra Tips:
- Don’t use the name of your company as your profile name. Again, most travellers want to deal with people, not companies.
- An attractive profile page is something you shouldn’t rush through. Take the time to really convey what you and your company are all about.

Great post Alex! You gave me a lot to think about. It does makes a business so much more personal just by telling a bit more about yourself. (I'm still working on mine hehe)
Alexander, you are absolutely right here. Unfortunately many people (including me) not always take care enough of this … and are missing some important benefits.
Thanks Alex! It’s nice to put a “face” to a lodging. I feel more comfortable if I need to contact the staff or make a booking. I enjoy reading interesting profiles, too
I agree this helps a lot. Pity it doesn’t work the other way around. Running a small B&B, it would be nice to know something about our guests before they actually arrive. Somebody who sounds about 90 on the phone could turn out to be a teenager and vice-versa!
